A Light That Can't Be Hidden

I was trying think of some other passages where there was a reference to hiding and this one came to mind. I wonder if it isn't connected to my thoughts from my last blog entry about the Glory of God.

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)
Our light is the glory of God shining through us. It makes no sense that I would try to cover up His light, but I certainly do try to hide it.

He created me to be seen, so that He might be known. The good, bad and the ugly within me all reflect His glory somehow as we are transformed into little Christs. This journey is quite a ride.
